PUMPERNICKEL PRESS HISTORY

Pumpernickel Press began with a leap of faith by owners Bob & Skeeter Harju in 1998. Drawing from Bob’s years of experience as a graphic designer, Pumpernickel Press soon became a leading producer of high-quality embossed greeting and occasion cards.

TOURIST COURTS BRAND HISTORY

In the summer of 2015, Pumpernickel Press was introduced to Joel Anderson, founder of Anderson Design Group (ADG) out of Nashville, TN. Since 2003, Joel and his team have been creating their award-winning Vintage Poster Art, featuring images from around the world. That September, Pumpernickel Press began licensing ADG art of National Parks and other American destination sites as Tourist Courts. Tourist Courts products follow the Pumpernickel Press standards of quality, selecting only the finest artwork and products available. Quality is never sacrificed for profit in any phase of design, manufacturing, and production. All of Tourist Courts’ vendors and business partners are expected to hold the standards we have set.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND MANUFACTURING CONCERNS

Pumpernickel Press cares deeply for both the environment and the welfare of small businesses in the United States. This is evident in the manufacturing of our products. All our cards and paper products are printed using agricultural-based inks on premium recycled paper containing post-consumer waste. Every product, except for ceramics, is manufactured and packed here in the US, and every single product is customized and decorated in the US as well.
