ShenandoahShenandoah National Park was established in 1935, the 22nd to receive designation. The park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, nestled between the Shenandoah River and Valley in the west and the commonwealth's Piedmont Region in the east. Skyline Drive runs along the length of the park, one of the most famous mountain drives in the US. Shenandoah also offers over 500 miles of hiking trails, including 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail. |
